I would pass on that too I think. Hopefully it wasn't mandatory that you be off those two hours on your own time? That's the only way I can think of that would make it worse. @Steph That's really very cool of your boss to do. My own boss shows his humanity to me almost every day. It takes a lot of my stress out of my job most of the time. And this holiday season it has been especially needed. I'm glad she brightened your day and hope you're feeling much better. =) @Friar

I got that same cold. Being fighting it now for 10 days . But that's all it takes to lift our spirits, sometimes. A small token of appreciation, like that Chapters Gift Certificate. It shows your boss is human. As opposed to the Widget Factory. Our "Holiday" celebration was a buffet lunch at 2:30 in the afternoon. That we were to pay for ourselves. That we were to use our own time off to attend (they woudlnt' even give us the 2 hours off). Um. No THANKS. Heh. I got that same cold. Being fighting it now for 10 days .
