What Are You Reading?

readingissticker_lg2I actually hold this to be very true!

I really, really want a tee-shirt that says it. If I was still working at the library, I’d seriously propose to the CEO that all staff wear the tee-shirt as their uniform.

I think it would be hilarious!

PS. I’m currently reading The Origin of Species, by Nino Ricci. It won a few awards, most notably the Governor General’s Award. It’s very well written, very non-linear, and the character development is excellent. And it’s very funny.

Next up is David Wroblewski’s The Story of Edgar Sawtelle…. What are you reading?

  • I found the tee-shirt! The design, to give credit, is copyright of Sarah Utter.

  • Reading IS sexy. I agree! I’ve heard great things about Edgar Sawtelle but haven’t read it yet…I just finished up The Geography of Bliss this morning and it was GREAT!

  • I remember reading that you were reading it. I should check it out. I have Stumbling on Happiness that I STILL have to read…that’s another you might like!

  • Holy shit…Did you see the SIZE of those scuba-goggles that chick uses as reading glasses?

Hey, lady. Go to Lens Crafters, and get some decent frames.

THEN come back to me, and MABYE we can start talking reading about being “sexy”. ;-)

  • AHAHAHAHA!!! I didn’t even notice!

  • I’m reading two books right now. One is Fool by Christopher Moore. The other is a book collecting Michael Palin(of Monty Python)’s diaries.

  • Paul: I haven’t read any of Christopher Moore, but I heard he’s really funny and irreverant. Is he good? Do you like him?

  • This is my first Christopher Moore. His writing is pretty entertaining and funny, although I still prefer Terry Pratchett.

Definitely irreverent, in a good way I think.

  • Wow..this is the LONGEST I’ve seen your blog theme stay the same.

    But your photos is changed.

Your hair is growing in again quite nicely, I might add. :-)

  • Thanks, Paul. I might just try one. And I still have to read Pratchett (blush!)

Friar: Dude! Thanks. Looking at this mop every morning, though, sticking up in all directions, it’s really just not growing in fast enough. I miss my long hair a lot. I’ve been an elf for long enough.

I’m actually pretty keen on the theme, though it doesn’t have my blog name and I can’t customize that myself since I don’t know what I’m doing. But then I think, meh, it IS a thoughtlog, so I’ll leave it. The absence of new posts, though (I was coming on to write one, actually, but it’s too soon before work, I think), shows you how blank my mind’s been lately as far as creativity goes!
